COVID-19 UPDATE. As of September 22, 2020, all TRUE Mentors programs remain virtual with the exception of in- person, small group events. We encourage mentors to continue supporting their mentees. Please see our Virtual Mentoring Resource page for assistance.
Our Teen Independence Program participants can receive weekly assignment and workshops via email by contacting Andrew@TRUEMentors.org.
TRUE Mentors hosts many events throughout the month and we are constantly updating our calendar. Each calendar event contains contact information in case you have any questions. We look forward to impacting the lives of children in Hudson County with you.

TRUE Mentors and In Full Color celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with a special performance by Mexican writer and actress Liliane Wolf. Other kids always made fun of this Mexican woman for looking “Chinese,” at least until Disney’s “Pocahontas.” Now both the bullies–and the girl–go back to her indigenous roots.
This performance will be followed by an interactive discussion and poetry workshop Here I Am in which teaching artist Summer Dawn Reyes leads students in creating their very own poem celebrating their identity.
