Session 2: Race has always existed.
This second session builds on the first session by focusing on the myth that race has always existed and especially that whiteness has always existed. Participants will learn how this false and dangerous myth emerged in the past and its continued impact today. Participants will have the opportunity to consider how this myth affects their work.
This 5-workshop Series lead by Alexis Jemal, J.D., LCSW, LCADC, PhD and Karen Gaffney, PhD, will provide safe, open, expert-lead discussions on numerous myths at the heart of systemic racism and unconscious bias. These workshops will include interactive exercises, educational presentations, follow-up activities, and open discussion periods.
You can sign up for this workshop Here
