Teen Internship Program (TIP)

TRUE Mentors’ Teen Internship Program (TIP) is a year-long college and career readiness program for teenagers in Hoboken. Each teen enrolled in the program is matched with a mentor. Teens are required to participate in 30 hours of community service  throughout the school year. Throughout the program teens are offered college and career readiness workshops, one on one help with college applications, employment assistance, college visits, and life skills training. We work with local businesses to connect students to job opportunities in the community.

We are currently looking for mentors and interns for the upcoming school year. The internship program is open to 9th-12th grade students interested in working with a mentor on Wednesday evenings from 7-8:30pm.

We also sometimes offer a “Junior TIP” program for younger volunteers or participants in our other mentoring programs who would like to take on a mentorship role themselves…ask for details!
