Support Program Expansion in 2019
On Tuesday, December 3, 2019, kick-off the holiday season of giving and help build a bright future for Hudson County youth by supporting TRUE Mentors, a nonprofit that provides free youth development services to local children. TRUE Mentors is a proud member of #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving that allows people like YOU to support local nonprofits like TRUE Mentors. TRUE Mentors is excited to expand our life-changing programs and engage a growing number of Hudson County youth in second through twelfth grade.

Host a TRUE Mentors GivingTRUESday Fundraiser
Through your workplace or community one of a variety of open campaigns to cover the cost of an Enrichment Clubs lesson or activity, Mentor anniversary celebration, or program field trip, all of which are integral to our robust and thriving programs. Become a Monthly Donor
Consider becoming a #GivingTRUESDayHero by contributing a recurring donation. No amount is too small, and it is our monthly donors that provide fundamental support for our three youth development programs – one-on-one mentoring, Enrichment Clubs and the Teen Independence Program. Just $25 per month will provide us with additional Enrichment Club supplies or cover the cost of a six-month mentor anniversary celebration. All new monthly donors will receive a hand-made prize from one of our talented Enrichment Club Participants!

Volunteer
Nothing is more valuable than your time! Over a thousand volunteers have worked with TRUE Mentors since we launched in 2011. There are a number of different volunteer teams and roles with flexible requirements and expectations. If you are passionate about wanting to help the youth of Hudson County, consider volunteering with us. Email Maria@TRUEMentors for more information and a new volunteer application.
TRUE Mentors’ mission is to unearth each child’s potential through relationship building and exposing them to the immense human capital that exists in Hoboken and the surrounding areas. Mentors become trusted friends, champions, and resources for our city’s children. The TRUE Mentors’ impact continues with weekly enrichment classes during the school year, as well as a teen internship program. Join us on #GivingTRUEsday and be part of unearthing the potential in the next generation.
