Our Teen Internship program kicks off with an open house on Wednesday, September 12th from 7-8:30pm at HOPES (301 Garden Street). This event is open to all junior and senior students, families and interested volunteers. Food and drinks will be provided. Please sign up online by September 11th and sign up for which workshops you plan on attending this year.
On Saturday, September 15th from 1pm-4pm, interns and mentors are invited to join us on a tour of NYC and ice cream at Ben & Jerry’s. Please rsvp online for this event.
This fall our program will focus on self-evaluation, personal development, public speaking skills, college exploration/applications and community service. On Wednesday, September 19th we begin a 3-part workshop designed to help students identify their ‘why’ and develop a personal statement. Students will also participate in HOPES 6-week leadership course taught by Ashley Barron as well as community service events throughout the year.
In an effort to improve our communication with families and volunteers, this year we are launching and online registration program and SMS text-alert system to help families and volunteers stay up-to-date on TM events and our weekly Club program.
