Vanessa has taught in the NJ public schools for ten years with experience in Kindergarten through High School. She holds NJ teacher certification in both Spanish and English as a Second Language, the latter of which she has taught for the past eight years in a K-5 school. In addition to her vast experience as a teacher, she was also a member of the Hoboken-based family friendly rock band, The Fuzzy Lemons, for five years as a performer, songwriter and schedule coordinator. “I’ve been involved with TRUE Mentors since my good friend Susie Milligan started it and I care about it and want to see it thrive. I’ve given benefit concerts for TRUE Mentors, participated (and won) the Scavenger Hunt last year, and taught a class with Board Member, Dana Harrison.”
We are excited to welcome Ms. Garaio as our Interim Program Coordinator for our Enrichment Club Program this summer. Her experience with the TRUE Mentors organization along with her commitment to the TRUE Mentors mission will ensure that our Enrichment Club Program will kick off this fall with the quality and professionalism our families and volunteers have come to expect.
